1988-1993: Manager of Computer Architecture Research, SICS

I managed the architecture group at the Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS) for five years. The group I built and managed grew from one to nine researchers during my tenure. The group performed original and internationally respected work such as the original COMA concept creating its acronym), the Data Diffusion Machine[18][9][10], Simple COMA[24][27], LH lock[26], and the SIMICS simulator. I am not aware of any recent European architecture with a bigger impact on international research and industry.
