Based on the notion of equivalent operators Faber, Goldstein, Manteuffel and Parter derived some general results on linear, mesh-independent convergence of the PCG method.
By the introduction of the notion of compact-equivalent operators, these results are here extended to superlinear rate of convergence. At the same time, the derivations are simplified and applicable for more general operators. |
