Self-archiving in DiVA ====================== Most publishers allow some version of self-archiving (parallellpublicering) in institutional, nonprofit repositories like DiVA. In order to follow the Open Access policy adopted by Uppsala University and the Department of Information Technology, I will need some information about full texts (pdf files) for your publications to upload them into DiVA. Simplified full text handling in DiVA ===================================== When you send me email with bibliographic data for a REFEREED publication (NOT already Open Access), you should also provide the complete PATH NAME to the full text in pdf AND indicate its VERSION (Preprint/Postprint/Publisher's, vide infra) allowed by the publisher for self-archiving in DiVA. Please put the pdf file somewhere in your public_html directory, and AVOID attaching the file (unless it is absolutely necessary). Publisher policies and terminology ================================== To check what version you may provide, search on the SHERPA RoMEO site http://www.sherpa.ac.uk/romeo/ If the journal is not found in SHERPA RoMEO, check the rules at the publisher's web site. Use the best version ALLOWED by the publisher, i.e., Publisher's version: The final publisher-created version or (second best) Author's Postprint: The author-created version after refereeing and accepted for publication or (preferably not) Author's Preprint: The author's early version submitted to the publisher Kurt Otto (DiVA administrator)
