The Academy of Esperanto, in collaboration with Professors Sture Allén and Sven-Göran Malmgren of Göteborg University, organized a symposium on crosscultural communication in Göteborg, Sweden, on August 2-3, 2003. The Swedish Academy, founded in 1768 by the king Gustavus III, supported the symposium financially; so did the Department of Swedish of Göteborg University.

Languages: Esperanto and English.

Time: 2003-08-02 14:00 through 2003-08-03 17:25.

Venue: Göteborg University, Department of Swedish, Renströmsgatan 6, Göteborg, Sweden. The lectures took place in the lecture room "Lilla hörsalen" in the building "Humanisten."

The following persons were invited to deliver a talk or present a poster at the symposium and actually participated.

Participants

Fifty-eight persons participated in the symposium.

Persons who wished to participate in the symposium were requested to announce themselves to Christer Kiselman (address below) no later than July 15, 2003. However, several persons arrived and were welcomed although they announced themselves later.
