Frequently asked questions
- Why can't the Makefiles be found?
- The LegOS distribution is set up with
Makefiles that depend on each other in a
intricate way. Therefor you should always call
make from the main LegOS directory,
i.e. /legos-0.2.6/.
- How do I know if legOS/brickOS is loaded?
- The brick beeps when turned on if no
OS is loaded. If it's silent legOS or brickOS is
loaded.
- The OS cannot be downloaded.
- Make sure that there is a free path
for the IR-beam.
- If there is a working
OS on the brick a new one cannot be
downloaded. To delete the OS remove the
batteries for a while. Note that there is a
capacitor that will retain the power for some
time. So you will have to ckeck that the OS
realy disapered.
- When I install the cygwin-legos package, the
registry patch can't be applied.
- The registry patch was made on Win
2k. Unfortunatly it does not apply to Win98 or
older.
- How should we report the assignment?
- The report should include:
- Well documented code of all five
parts.
- Cover page.
- A separate (from the code) presentation
of your solution. You should describe your
code and solutions to difficulties you
enountered. The text doesn't need to be long.
The background should be well known to me
:-) but I require that the language is good
and that it is possible to understand what
you have done based on what you write.
