: Presentation Schedule
Format:
We meet three days a week for five weeks, take a short break , and then
meet again for two weeks. For the first five weeks, I will lecture for
the first two meetings, assign a paper to read, and we will discuss the
paper on the third meeting. You will work in groups of 2-4 (we'll
deterine the size after the first class meeting). Each group will be
responsible for submitting a one page summary of the paper read.
In addition, a different group will be responsible for leading the
discussion of the paper.
I will assign some homeowrk questions; some will be due in a short time
(say a week), and others will be due when we return from vacation
(since some of the questions will require a search engine to do a
crawl). Our first meeting after break will be devoted to discussing
these questions.
Each group must do a project. I am open to any suggestions for project
and have also provided some if you can't think of any. Projects will be
presented in the fianl two weeks of the class. You will need to present
your results to the class and provide me with a short (approximately 5
pages) report.
