We consider the numerical solution of elliptic systems with weak coupling in the reaction type terms. After suitable FEM discretization, the goal is to solve the arising linear systems with a proper preconditioned CG algorithm. We propose preconditioners based on decoupled equivalent operators. The main advantages of the obtained preconditioning are the parallelizability of the algorithm and mesh independent superlinear convergence estimates.
