UU team
UU team consists of Czech graduate or undergraduate students at Uppsala University (Sweden)
who together play and enjoy the Sendvic (czech for "sandwich")
- a team internet game full of nice puzzles.
With almost no previous experience, we made nice 42nd place (out of 71), 7 solved puzzles out of 20.
The team consisted of Pavel Plevka, Jiri Novak, Pavel Krcal, and Marian Novotny (from left to right).
A slight improvement came with more experience, 50th place (out of 104), 11 solved puzzles.
Marian Novotny, Vitek Kriz, Pavel Krcal, Lenka Satrova, and Jiri Novak.
Pavel Plevka spent his Sendvic in Czechia, but Lenka and Vitek turned out to be an excellent replacement.
But above all, we have enjoyed the game very much. We'd like to thank the organizers, who invested
their time and skills to prepare the Sendvic.
Such an experienced team can afford going skating before the game and a vodka tasting party after the game, 64th place (out of 154), 13 solved puzzles (out of 22).
A picture from Prague, Lenka's and Marian's little cute lizard enjoying Sendvic too.
Team: Anne Wuttke, Lenka Satrova, Marian Novotny, Pavel Plevka, and Pavel Krcal.
Marian showed up in Uppsala just to play Sendvic (and possibly also to fine-tune his thesis). Lenka joined us over Skype - and proved to be a key member of the team again. We all felt a bit sorry for her, sitting alone in Prague... One German player can be very useful even in a czech puzzle solving game. If I was only faster with that chess puzzle...
We have enjoyed the game very much. Our thanks go to the organizers, who invested
their time and skills to prepare the Sendvic.
This year, nobody came from Prague to play with us, so we had the pleasure to invite Miriam and Jano to our team. We made it to the 122nd place (out of 191), 9 solved puzzles (out of 22).
Team: Miriam Marusiakova, Jan Rusz, Pavel Plevka, Anne Wuttke and I have also helped a bit.
We have enjoyed the game very much. Long live the organizers!
One should learn from positive experiences. So did we and took another Slovakian into our team: Zuzka. And we have achieved the best result ever - the 29th place out of 226.
Team: Anne Wuttke, Pavel Plevka, Pavel Krcal, Zuzka Konopkova, and Jan Rusz.
We have enjoyed the game very much. Thank you, organizers!
