Research Interests
I used to be a student at Information
Technology, Department of Computer
Systems (DoCS) at Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden.
I'm was a member of the Hard
Real-Time Systems (HRTS) group at DoCS. My research interests where
in the field of real-time systems, especially distributed real-time
systems and schedulabiliy analysis.
Schedulability Analysis
My PhD thesis " Predictable High-Speed
Communications for Distributed Real-Time Systems", in which I present a new
traffic model for real-time communication and an associated Response Time
Analysis (RTA), was successfully defended in May 2000. In it also present
a comparative study where other popular analysis/scheduling methods are
examined. I show that RTA yield better network utilisation than other methods
at the cost of longer analysis time.
Read more about this in my published
papers and thesis page.
Execution-Time Analysis
I was also active in the field of Worst-Case Execution Time (WCET)
analysis. Here we try to solve the problem of a priori (i.e. statically)
determine the WCET of a program (or piece of a program). This information
crucial when integrating a system of multiple programs, in order to be able to
perform a schedulability analysis.
I also haw a few published
papers in this area.
