Abstract:

Orthogonal spline collocation (OSC) is a numerical method for the solution of problems involving differential equations, alternative to finite element and finite difference methods. In this presentation, we will discuss formulation and accuracy of OSC for one and two dimensional elliptic boundary value problems and its implementation using direct and iterative methods addressing nonlinear problems and preconditioning techniques.
