Gunnar Ledfelt

My name is Gunnar Ledfelt and I work PSCI, Parallel and Scientific Computing Institute at TDB and NADA which are the departments of numerical analysis at Uppsala University and Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan in Stockholm.
Currently I'm visiting ICASE/NASA Langley to participate in "Lightning Electromagnetic Effects Modeling Project"
My email adress is: ledfelt@nada.kth.se, ledfelt@tdb.uu.se or ledfelt@icase.edu (equivalent).
My phone number is: +46 18 471 29 67 (TDB) and +1 757 864 7311 (ICASE)
Here are my bookmarks, among them Google and Websters. Other web pages related to my work is:

I defended my Ph.D thesis 30/3 2001 and a full text copy can be downloaded here.
My CV is available in pdf and ps.
Here you find courses I teach and courses I attended for my own education.

In 1873 Maxwell revised and formulated what was known about electromagnetics and the four equations he compiled are still among the most fundamental descriptions of the nature. However, even though the equations are easy to write down, the solution to a given problem is often very difficult to obtain.

I am using AVS , DX and  VTK to visualize our CEM-activity and some nice mpeg movies can be found here.
If you are interested in doing an "exjobb" in this project you should check Exjobb i numerisk analys and mail me or my colleague Ulf.
I am also very interested in absorbing boundary conditions and here you can find some numerical experiments for the scalar wave equation.
I have some photos here.
