Distributed Systems Middleware Documentation

This document describes the structure of the skeleton of the middleware in the distributed systems assignment. The picture below describes the framework.

Clients connect using "frontend" to "middle" using a TCP connection.

They send a transaction stored in a file to the middleware.

This transaction is processed to generate queries to the databases "dbserver".

Note that each middleware handles only one client at a time. Paralelism is achieved by running several instances of the middleware concurrently.

The only modules you will have to modify are thise in "middle".
