Climbing at Fjärdhundra 1 Juni 2003

Uppsala's (about 40 km away from city) best sport crag. A tad higher than 10 m on the highest part and only about 40m wide but heaps of well-bolted routes with rap ancors at top for the top rope inclined.

Not exactly a beginners crag, I led the warm-up route (5+?) onsight but was wasted for the rest the day. Really nice crag, plenty of small holds with some scattered great ones. The general overhanging feeling gave me bad wibes for leading, but fun hard climbing probably from low sixes up to high sevens and maybe beyond.

Sorry that we don't have a proper guide with names.

Leading and taking a controlled rest. This is a much harder route than I did.

The stretch factor of the rope is a great measure of what is highest priority, picture taking or belaying. (It is the first bolt and I have not started climbing since clipping so don't worry.)

After seeing my performance he repeated it without any hassle.

I picked up two 300g bags of crisps yesterday, will eat soon.
For those bored with our presens on every picture Torbjörn has taken some cultural nature photos.

Note the distance between rope and crag at the bottom. The constant steepness is hard for weakies like Jacob.

Is this radio controlled?

Safety before all, the gravel could be slippery.

An extremly dedicated stop at the crossing enabled the taking of this picture.

Mad farmers cultivating maskrosor out here!
