About me

As an undergraduate I studied engineering physics at Chalmers, Sweden, and spent half a year at Oxford University, UK. Right after I graduated I started my Ph.D. studies at the math department at Chalmers.

In September 30, 2005, I defended my Doctoral thesis entitled Adaptive variational multiscale methods in Göteborg, Sweden. My advisor was Mats Larson. Then I did a two year Postdoc, the first year was with Don Estep at the math department at CSU and the second year is with Mike Holst at the math department at UCSD.

Currently, I'm an assistant professor in Scientific Computing at Uppsala University.

My main interest besides Finite element methods is music in general and guitar playing in particular.
